Located in the western part of Nepal, Manaslu circuit trek
is the perfect remote trek in Nepal. Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m) is the world's eighth highest peak in the world, and the Manaslu region boasts the most beautiful and relatively untouched settlement—the Tsum valley. This trek offers you the beautiful experience of remoteness with plenty of opportunity for cultural exploration. This trek is one of the most desired and destined treks in the world since 1992 AD. March through to May and September through to November are considered to be the perfect season for this trek. Keep in mind that the October is the busy season in the year. Larkya La Pass is the highest point you shall make this trek, which is located at an altitude of 5,106 m.
This trek offers you the staggering views of about 10 peaks with more than 6,500 m in altitude. As you trek, you shall be experiencing about 6 climatic zones in the Manaslu Conservation Area. Due to its remoteness, the trail of this trek is less crowded in comparison to the Everest base camp trek and the Annapurna base camp trek and often looks like an ancient view of the Annapurna circuit. You shall find a sufficient number of tea houses throughout the trek, but not many in comparison to the treks mentioned above. Despite the deliciousness of the food, and its limited variety and repletion of the same menu frequently, you might feel the cost of food much expensive. You shall be making close to the Nepal-Tibet border, passing various settlements, dense forest, witnessing the wonderful views of wildlife, and crossing the glacial streams.
It is to be noted that the Government of Nepal has banned any kind of solo traveling in this area. The trekker must be accompanied by a trekking staff, either a guide or porter and must be traveling in a group consisting of at least two members. Bear in mind that you cannot take any random Nepali citizen as a guide for Manaslu circuit trek; the guide has to be registered, be licensed by the government and must possess his identity card. You do not require any extraordinary body fitness to cover this trek; a moderate level of body fitness with the body endurance capacity to bear long hours of walking for few days in a row is sufficient to accomplish this trek successfully
