Manaslu Circuit trek
is a unique experience in the remote part of Nepal, and is less crowded in comparison to other classic treks. However, this region is getting more number of trekkers since the teahouses started being flourished in 2010. You shall enjoy the beautiful landscapes, crossing several rivers through the suspension bridges, and making through the Larkya La Pass (5,106 m). You shall find very few trekkers in the off-the-beaten trail of this remote trek in comparison to other classic treks such as the Everest Base Camp trek, Annapurna Circuit Trek, etc. There are plenty of teahouses to accommodate at withdrawing the need of any tent and food to be brought by the trekker. Making through the dense forest full with rhododendron, you shall have plenty of cultural experiences throughout the trek.
Some areas in the Manaslu region are restricted by the government, making through which require you to be aligning with its mandatory requirement. You must be travelling in a group of at least two members, and compulsorily with a guide or a porter. Any random Nepali citizen can’t be your guide, he has to possess an identity card, and must hold license and registration. You are required to have Restricted Area Permit, Manaslu Conservation Area Project Permit, and Annapurna Conservation Area Project Permit. However, if you do possess Restricted Area Permit, you aren’t required to have TIMS Card. You shall be charge US$ 70 per week per person for 7 days and US$ 10 for every extra day for Restricted Area Permit. You shall be charged US$ 30 for Manaslu Conservation Area Project Permit and Annapurna Conservation Area Project Permit, for each.
Being a remote trek, you are required to have moderate level of body fitness to successfully complete this trek. However, ensure that you do not have any problems related to your ankles and knees. Also be assured that your body can endure long duration of walking for some days in a row. However, prior trekking experience and exercises few weeks prior to the Manaslu Circuit trek can be added advantage, though not mandatory. March to May and September to November are considered to be the best time to do this trek.
