Manaslu- Tsum Valley Trek which is also known as Tsum Valley and round Manaslu Trek route progresses through the remote and untouched lands to Tsum Village which is often regarded as the hidden shangrila of Nepal. Tsum Valley is enclosed by Annapurna Conversation Area in the west and Tibetan Plateau in the north and east. We are conducting Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek itinerary as 21days. We will take drive to Sotikhola via Arughat Bazaar. Trekking continues through the villages of Machhakhola and Thulo Dhungga to Philim which acts as the checking point for allowing entrance into the lost land of Tsum Valley. Entering the Land of Beyul Kyimolung (The holy hidden valley of happiness), our trail continues through Chumling, Chhokangparo and Mu Gompa to Lar which is the farthest point in Tsum Valley. We will return back to Chumling and leave Tsum Valley through Pewa. At Pewa, we will follow the Manaslu trail and walk through the villages at Ghap, Lho, Sama and Samdo to rest place at Dharmasala. Walking further, we will cross Larkya La and walk through Bimthang and Dharapani to Chamje from where we will return back to Kathmandu via Besisahar of Lamjung.
Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek is categorized as the restricted area trekking. This region was opened to foreigners only in the year 1992. So, the region is rich in its culture. Lhosar, Sakadawa and Dhachyang are some of the local festivals of Manaslu and Tsum region.

Day01: Drive to Soti Khola via Aarughat

Day07: Trek to Mu Gompa (3700m) (Tsum Valley) 6-7hrs (700m net gain, gross gain 1000m)
Day08: Trek to Lar (3245m) (Tsum Valley)-3-4hrs (stay in Mu Gompa till afternoon)
Day09: Trek to Chumling (2386m) (Tsum Valley) 9hrs lunch and sightseeing
Day10: Trek to Pewa (2000m) (leave Chum Valley) & start Manaslu Trek 6hrs

Day01: Drive to Soti Khola via Aarughat:
We will take 9hours of drive to Soti Khola. The trail progresses through Dhading Besi (District Head quarter of Dhading) and follows the bumpy road to Arughat Bazaar. After taking brief rest at Arughat Bazar, we will move forward to Soti Khola.

Day02: Trek to Machhakhola 5hrs:
We will lower down a bit before climbing to Almara. Walking through the forest, we will move to Riden Gaon which later takes us to Lambesi. The trail lowers down to the bank of Budhi Gandaki River which continues further to Machha Khola.

Day03: Trek to Thulo Dhungga 4hrs:
4hours of easy trek through the pretty village of Machhakhola will take us to Thulo Dhungga.

Day04: Trek to Philim 6hrs (check point & 1st night in Tsum Valley):
We will enjoy the scenic view of Sringi Himal and then continue our trail from river to Philim which is the checkpoint that allows an entrance into Tsum valley.  

Day05: Trek to Chumling (Tsum Valley) 8hrs:
Walking through the steep hill, we will reach to the ridge that continues to Ganesh Himal Base Camp. We will walk through villages of Lokpa and Gumlung along the stony path to Chumling which lies on the southern face of Shringi Himal.   

Day06: Trek to Chhokang Paro (3031m) (Tsum Valley) 6hrs:
After taking walk through Serpu Khola, we will move through the village of Gho. We will walk through the plain land to Chhokangparo which offers spectacular views of Ganesh Himal Range to the south and Buddha and Himal Chuli Peaks to the south- west. Chhokangparo is the collective form of two villages of Chhokang and Paro which are rich in Ancient Tibetan Buddhist heritage.

Day07: Trek to Mu Gompa (3700m) (Tsum Valley) 6-7hrs (700m net gain, gross gain 1000m):
Our way progresses through series of ups and downs to Piren Phu Cave which is also known as Pigeon Cave. We will walk further through Nile/ Chhule to arrive at Mu Gompa which was established in 1895 AD. Mu is the largest monastery in the region which is located at the highest and farthest point in Tsum Valley.

Day08: Trek to Lar (3245m) (Tsum Valley)-3-4hrs (stay in Mu Gompa till afternoon):
From Mu Gompa, we will follow the trail along arid landscapes with less vegetation for about 3-4 hours to Lar. 

Day09: Trek to Chumling (2386m) (Tsum Valley) 9hrs lunch and sightseeing:
We will trace our trail back to Chumling.

Day10: Trek to Pewa (2000m) (leave Chum Valley) & start Manaslu Trek 6hrs:
Downward trail along some culturally rich beautiful villages will take us to Pewa at which point we will meet with the part of Manaslu circuit trek. 

Day11: Trek to Ghap (2500m)-5-6hrs:
Our trail progresses along the scenic mountain views at the backdrop. We will walk past ridges to Ghap. 

Day12: Trek to Lho (3180m) 5-6hrs (700m net gain gross-1000m):
We will walk through Tibetan fashioned narrow alleys and white washed houses to crop fields of Barchham and Lho villages. We will enjoy scenic mountain views of Manaslu, Hiunchuli, Saula and other Tibetan Mountains. We will cross the river and arrive at beautiful Lho Village. 

Day13: Trek to Sama (Ryo) (3520m) - 3 to 4 hrs (300m net gain):
After taking walk through verdant fir forest, we will take walk to Shyala Village. We will enjoy the views of Hiunchuli, Ganesh and Manaslu Mountains and pass through chorten to Samagaon. 

Day14: Trek to Samdo (3850m):
After taking walk through the meadow of lush vegetation, we will leave the valley and climb the ridge. We will enjoy the view of Manaslu Mountain from the ridge and continue our walk to Samdo which is the village existing nearer to Tibetan border. We will stay overnight at Samdo.

Day15: Rest Day in Samdo:
We will take rest from our trekking for proper acclimatization. We can either take side trip to Sama Gompa or Birendra Tal or we can even walk upto the glacier valley and return back to Samdo.

Day16: Trek to Dharmasala (4460m):
We will cross the wooden bridge over Budhi Gandaki River and walk along the path with view of Larkya Glacier. Walking further, we will move along Salka River and climb to the stone house of Dharmasala. 

Day17: Climb Larkya La (5160m) Trek to Bimthang (3720m) 9hrs:
After taking short climb of the small hill, we will walk through the Larkya Glacier with views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak and move forth the moraines to the summit of Larkya La. The summit offers scenic views of Cheo, Kangguru and Annapurna II mountains. We will lower down to Bimthang.     

Day18: Trek to Dharapani (1860m- on Annapurna Circuit)-7-8hrs:
Leaving Bimthang, we will move along the stone paved path and walk through Mani wall to arrive at Thonje Village whence the track continues to Dharapani where we will stay overnight.

Day19: Drive to Kathmandu via Chamje/ Besisahar (1430m) 9hrs:
We will take 9hours of pleasant ride from Chamje to Kathmandu through Besisahar. After returning back to Kathmandu, we will stay at hotel where we will enjoy the pleasant meal.

Day20: Rest Day:
This is a free day. Spend the day as you wish. You can go shopping in Thamel to buy souvenirs for your near and dear ones.  

Day21: Departure:
You will be taken to Airport by our representative. We wish you safe journey and hope that you will visit us soon.
